Australian Certified Organic, Ceremonial Grade Matcha from Uji, Kyoto, Japan Single Origin, Farm Direct, Small Batch. Net 50g

Our Matcha is the real deal; shade-grown for three to four weeks before harvest, ceremonial grade and of course organic. You can easily make a traditional cup of Matcha at home OR treat yourself by frothing up some milk and making a Matcha latte....

Organic Matcha Powder

Our Organic Ceremonial Grade Matcha is certified organic by ACO, single-origin from the birthplace of Japanese green tea, and sustainably packaged.

Our Organic Matcha Powder comes from a single location, harvested and packed on a single family-run farm in Uji, Kyoto, Japan with over 150 years of history. We call it single-origin Matcha. In fact, the only time it leaves the area it started life is to make its way to us for sale, in monthly batches to ensure total freshness.

Ceremonial Matcha Powder

Ceremonial Matcha Powder means it can be used in traditional Japanese tea ceremonies.
Prepare it however you like – brew a traditional cup of Matcha or whip up a Matcha Latte, or even use it to make delicious Matcha desserts. The possibilities are endless.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does it mean to be ACO certified organic for your teas?
Chaya’s Ceremonial Matcha Powder along with all our other teas is certified organic to the Australian Certified Organic Standard. As proven by the widely recognisable BUD Logo on all our labels. This means that our products are grown without the use of agricultural chemicals or synthetic fertiliser farming – which is not only important for our tea drinkers but also for raising the standard of a sustainable environment as well.

So how do I traditionally prepare Matcha with your powder?
Brewing Matcha traditionally at home can seem overwhelming, but trust us, it’s not! Check out our ‘How to Brew Matcha’ video posted on the Organic Matcha Powder product page and follow these easy steps:

1. Add hot water into a large cup or small bowl.

2. Wet bamboo whisk (‘chasen’).

3. Once the cup is warm, dispose the hot water.

4. Add 1 teaspoon of our ceremonial grade Matcha into the cup.

5. Pour in hot water 80°.

6. Whisk well until bubbles form. Enjoy!

Don’t have the utensils you need?
Try our Matcha Starter Kit which includes the Organic Matcha Powder, a bamboo whisk, a bamboo tea ladle and a whisk stand.

Is there an easier way to enjoy Matcha?
Try a Matcha Latte. Simply whip up a teaspoon of Matcha with your milk of choice in your milk frother. The creaminess of the Matcha compliments the milk. Now sit down and relax with Chaya’s Organic Ceremonial Grade Matcha.

How long can your Matcha last?
Our Organic Ceremonial Grade Matcha can last for one year, but please note the Best Before Date at the bottom of our product. We do recommend consuming the Matcha within a month once it has been opened.
